Simple Shrimp Cocktail Sauce

My recipe of the day is for a simple shrimp cocktail sauce, which adds a bright zesty flavor to chilled cooked shrimp or things like deep fried butterfly shrimp and the like.
Having a good recipe for cocktail sauce on hand can be indispensable, especially for unexpected entertaining, or even planned entertaining, when markets suddenly run out of a popular item, as they often do with bottled cocktail sauce on New Year’s Eve.
But it really shouldn’t be a concern as it is quite simple to make. This recipe might be perfectly utilitarian, but it is one you will keep tucked under you pillow. I promise. It works!
