Strawberry Avocado Salad

I always look forward to the early Spring when the first of the berries start coming in. They won’t be local for months here in Ohio, but I still am tempted by the offerings at the market. And one of my favorite ways to  have them often, without overindulging in sweets, is to pop a few on top of a salad here or there.

I find  the flavors go wonderfully with avocado, chevre, and macadamias, so simple as it is, it makes a very satisfying salad plate.

The strawberry vinegar I make myself at home, but you can opt to use store bought of any berry vinegar variety.

I hope you enjoy!

  2. This salad was simply delicious. We loved each and every component of the salad; especially, the strawberries, goat cheese and the macadamia nuts. I made a nice dressing to go on the salad and it was scrumptious. I did use less of the olive oil than the recipe called for as I wanted the vinegar to shine through along with the honey.

  3. Fabulous salad! We loved everything about this. The crunch of the nuts, the sweetness of the berries, creaminess of the avocado….it was just divine. Thanks for sharing! Made for Susie’s World Tour 2018.
