Cranberry Apple Crisp

My recipe of the day is for cranberry apple crisp which I am posting as part of Cranberry Week which is going on all week long. Be sure to check in every day to see new recipes, both from myself, and also other bloggers in the links list.
Crisps and crumbles are some of my favorite desserts, since they are so easy to put together. This one in particular to me seems perfect for the Thanksgiving holiday, since it combines two of the best fruits of fall- apples and cranberries- into one dessert. The crisp makes a great easy option for those wanting an alternative to pumpkin pie.
Usually for the holidays I like to have several different desserts no matter how many guests I have. The great thing about a crisp like this one is that if you like, you can assemble this in smaller dishes such as ramekins, and bake those off for individual desserts. That makes it great for a buffet, where people might take smaller amounts of several things, and an individual dish is easier to grab and go.
