For my offering I wanted to do a very retro recipe for pizza. French bread pizza is something we did a lot on market day in the 80’s and 90’s. It was the perfect grab for something to make for dinner after tiring out after an extended excursion at the grocery store.
Of course, now we have those rotisserie chickens we can grab too. Choices make the world go round!

Equipment
- 1 cookie sheet
Ingredients
- 1 French baguette 18"x4"
- 1 Italian sausage link 3.5 ounce, cooked and sliced
- 2-1/2 ounces sliced white mushrooms
- 1 ounce sliced red onion
- 1/4 green bell pepper sliced
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 3/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 cup shaved Parmesan cheese
- 2 ounces thinly sliced pepperoni
- 2-1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450F.
- Cut bread n half lengthwise.
- Spread with pizza sauce and cover with toppings.
- Bake at 450F for ten minutes or until cheese is melted and golden.
