Smoky BBQ Cheddar Burger recipe disclaimer: Burger Month is hosted by Girl Carnivore, but all opinions and burger recipe deliciousness are, of course, my own.
Smoky BBQ Cheddar Burger is my recipe of the day with Burger Month. For this burger I wanted to make something out on the grill with lots of smoky flavor, tons of smoked cheese and topped with pulled pork.
I am a huge fan of barbecue whether I smoke my own meats or in a more perfect world, go out for a drive to my favorite bbj joint (Eli Leisring’s place). Sometimes people might see me post about it on Facebook or Instagram when I am out and about and don’t feel like cooking. I am really fond of his rib tips.
At home I might make a pulled pork from a Boston Butt. It makes a ton so there will be leftover, which I use to top my burger. If you aren’t a pitmaster, you can feel free to buy some pulled pork in tubs at the grocery store.
I made my own sauce for this, which is primo. But you can use bottled sauce too. I recommend learning how to make your own sauce from the ground up. It gives you so much more control.

Best of both worlds in this burger.
I may have to try these with the leftover smoked ribs I have. Because I love me a barbecue cheddar burger.
