Apple-Fennel Salad with Almonds
This is really good and has a slaw-like character. If you have never eaten fennel raw, it has an anise taste but it is very mild. It goes very well with the flavor of the apple. This is not a sweet kind of apple salad, but refreshingly crisp. Goes together quick.
Spicy Sicilian Burger with Basil Mayo
Spicy Sicilian Burger with Basil Mayo is a flavorful change of pace burger with Italian flavors. Che buono!

Guacamole Deviled Eggs
A different twist on the picnic classic- not just guack in egg halves, but a blended mixture. You can garnish this with a slice of pickled jalapeno (or fresh!) or perhaps you’d like a sliced black olive. I like spicy, so I did these with jalapeno and it was not too hot. Fresh pepper slices might be hotter. Olives definitely mild. I always love a deviled egg- they are so high in protein and so very low carb. Having different ways to do them is always a plus, and I always love avocado with egg.

Rhubarb-Lavender Streusel Muffins
I bet you have never had one of these before. And why not? Lavender and Rhubarb make an excellent flavor combination, and rhubarb helps keep the muffins moist.
